Trekking from Soti Khola the trek passes through forests of sal trees on the way to Khursane. There are beautiful two waterfalls cascading down and emitting very well spray that creates the rainbows. After this beautiful moment, we will be continuing to trek into the stunning Buri Gandaki Gorge. The trek winds through rice terraces to the Gurung village of Lapubesi and on to Machhekhola. village (5 hour trek)

Trekking today will be up and down and hike crossways sandy river-flats, chances to see monkeys and langurs in the jungle. The large Gurung villages are way on top of the trek passes few houses (lower Khorlabesi was mostly shattered by a huge rock slip years ago, though a survivor has built a botanic garden. Finally, we arrive Tatopani the Natural hot spring(930m and then hike over a ridge and cross the Buri Gandaki on the suspension bridge, on marble stairs in the narrow valley of Doban (1,000m). and then to Yaru Khola (1,363m) to Jagat (1,410m), a pretty flag-stoned Gurung village. Where there is check point for our permits. (6 hour trek).

We trek down to a track junction, trek up through pines and rhododendrons, and the some zigzag steps to gain our first glimpses of Tsum Valley. We cross Buri Gandaki river again and can see Himalchuli (7,893mWe will have entered the Tsum valley by now (6 hour trek).

Today, we will be trekking the most difficult up hills with steps on this trek but pleasant as we walk through the beautiful mixed forest with the sounds of birds, river and soft wind. Few time, we have to cross over the foot bridge before getting to Chumling. Its shorter walk than our daily routing but a bit challenging. Make sure you walk around Chumling and visit the old gompa (Tibetan monastery), the traditional houses the beautiful stone streets. The trek Lokpa to Chumling is about 4 hour trek).

Trekking first hours today is through rich farming land sheltered from animals by tall stone walls. Beautiful Tibetan classic houses that bundles of firewood on the roofs , The mani walls and kanis (stone arched gateways) looks very authentic and pretty. Trekking cross the big slip that is now covered with a forest and the excellent views of the 7,422m Ganesh Himal, of long suspension bridges on the reverse bank far above the village of Ripchet (2,468m). The hike across the Serpu Khola takes us to Upper Tsum the large village of Chhokangparo (3,010m) Good to take some time to discover the conjoined villages of Chhokang and Paro and the hike to the retreat where Lama Kongchog died after 26 years of meditation. If the weather is clear Himalchuli (7,893m) can be seen closely (5 hour trek).

The trek follows through small villages, climb over a edge of chortens through flat fields. We visit the atmospheric Milarepa’s Cave, where a Milarepa’s footprint can be seen and the bringer of Buddhism to Tibet is supposed to have meditated. We will hike across the Shiar Khola. Two villages Nile & Chule lies two sides of Shiar Khola and the oldest Buddhist Monasteries , Chortens are fabulous and very authentic, today is probably the best days on our trek to see many nice views.(7 hour trek).

Mu Gompa is the last settlement of Tsum valley from where we can see Kalung (3,820m)this is where surrounded on 3 sides by TibetWe have two option to take a nice day trips that is either yak pastures to Pama and Ngula Dhojyang (5,093m) or west to Thapla Bhanjyang (5,104m). We must bring our packed lunch and enough water to drink as the hike will be about 9 hours but we can always return after few hours walk if you feel going back to the Mu Gumpa to rest or explore near by places like the pond on top of the Nunnery monastery.

Trekking Mu Gumpa downhill to visit Rachen Gompa nunnery, the female equivalent of the main Kathmandu Kopan Monastery, with its huge courtyard. (4 hour trek). You probably have the best views of Tsum valley where you have walked two days ago. Can capture the best picture.

Hiking back to Chhokangparo, following the earlier trekked path for 2 hours til a small gompa is reached at Gho (2,485m), and then hiking down to the Shiar Khola then after crossing to Dumje, a settlement of 8 scattered houses and a Tibetan herbal medicine clinic and school. Trekking from Dumje steeply up through beautiful forests of enormous silver pines and rhododendrons The Gumba Lungdang (3,200m), probably the oldest nunnery in the valley, suspended on a ridge with fantastic views. This Gompa shelters 40 nuns the puja from 6 to 7.30 every evening is very special. The major building of the nunnery houses contain many Buddhist deities and life-size statues of Guru Padmasambhav, Yara and Buddha. (7 hour trek).

Trekking down Hill from Gumpa Lungdang to Dumje, and then to picturesque Ripchet. It’s a beautiful isolated village with fertile land to grow crops and keeping animals. The evocative chortens and mani walls in the fields and a pine forest backdrop creates the area perfectly. (5 hour trek). The accommodation is simple local home stay or if we are not camping with tents.

Trekkig down on steep stairs to the river at Ghumlong (2,130m), that we trekked through few days ago and then continue to Lokpa , Jagat to Dobhan. (7 hour trek).

Enjoy trekking back on the same trails but from different angels, taking pictures while going down hill covers whole valley.
